Bluebird’s Philosophy on Artificial Intelligence

At Bluebird, we believe AI should strengthen human relationships—not replace them.

Our platform is designed to help organizations respond faster, engage more personally, and capture better business outcomes while keeping people at the center of every customer interaction. AI should reduce administrative work, surface better insights, and improve productivity so sales teams, dealers, agents, and partners can spend more time building meaningful relationships with customers.

Bluebird’s Core Intelligence

The core intelligence behind Bluebird’s routing, prioritization, and optimization engine is narrow AI, not generative AI.

Our routing engine makes deterministic, rules-based decisions using a large number of customer-defined and system-generated data points, including but not limited to:

These decisions are calculated entirely within the customer’s Bluebird environment. Customer data remains stored within the Bluebird infrastructure hosting that customer’s account and is used solely to optimize routing and workflow automation for that customer.

Bluebird’s core routing and decision engine does not rely on third-party Large Language Models (LLMs), including OpenAI, to make routing decisions or determine lead assignment outcomes.

Optional Generative AI Features

Bluebird also offers an optional AI assistant, Aubrey, which uses generative AI to create more natural, conversational interactions throughout the sales process.

When enabled, Aubrey can assist with capabilities such as:

These features are designed to increase engagement, improve response quality, and reduce administrative effort while allowing human users to remain in control of customer communications.

OpenAI Integration

Only customers who choose to enable Aubrey’s generative AI capabilities will have relevant information processed through OpenAI services.

The information transmitted depends on the specific feature being used and follows Bluebird’s documented data handling practices. OpenAI is used solely to provide the requested AI functionality and is not used to power Bluebird’s routing engine. By default, lead data is not automatically sent to OpenAI—specific AI functionality must be enabled before OpenAI processing occurs. Bluebird’s OpenAI configuration also disables data sharing for model training and conversation sharing, meaning customer data submitted through Aubrey is not used to train OpenAI’s public models.
Additional details regarding data transmitted to OpenAI, current safeguards, and platform limitations are available in the Aubrey AI Data Usage and OpenAI Integration document.

Our Commitment

Bluebird is committed to developing AI that is transparent, secure, and practical.

We will continue to:

Our goal is simple: use AI where it creates genuine value, while ensuring the most important conversations remain human.
