Our Story

Bluebird started life as Lead Assign.

It started with a question Des brought to Tom and James.

He had a growing lead funnel and a network of salespeople who didn’t report to him. How do you figure out who to give leads to — intelligently, at scale — across a distributed network you don’t control?

No platform could answer it. 

So in 2014, Tom and James built one. Enterprise-grade technology designed to match business opportunities to the best-suited salesperson available, automatically, in real time. They called it Lead Assign. They started with real estate. Then realized the problem was everywhere.

In 2020, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office agreed the solution was one-of-a-kind — issuing the Patent for Dynamic Contact Management Systems and Methods.

In 2024, Lead Assign became Bluebird.

The product had grown well beyond routing—encompassing lead enrichment, AI-assisted selling, real-time lead intelligence, and deep enterprise integrations. A bigger name for a bigger mission.

And “bluebird”? In sales, it means a qualified lead that appears out of nowhere. That felt exactly right for a platform built to deliver them.
